Lead Healthy Retreat

Let’s face it: being a business leader in these times is crazy hard! Constant demands from stakeholders pull us in a thousand directions. Late nights and early mornings keep us burning the proverbial candle at both ends. Finances, supply chains, human resources, new products and services…anything that requires our attention piles up on our desk. This is not to mention our personal, relational, and emotional needs.

Business leaders need a break, too. We need places where we can be honest, feel safe, and discover our truest self.

The Lead Healthy Retreat is designed just for you. Discover the areas of your leadership that need to be refined. Engage in reflective practices that increase your awareness. Develop an individualized plan for your personal and professional wellness that can be implemented upon your return home and to the office.

We believe your absolute best is not found in what you do, but in who you are becoming.

“We lead more out of who we are then out of what we do, strategic or otherwise. If we fail to recognize that who we are on the inside informs every aspect of our leadership, we will do damage to ourselves and to those we lead.” – Pete Scazzero, “The Emotionally Healthy Leader”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Retreat Format = 4-days / 3-nights

Day 1 – Where We Find Ourselves

      · Begin the retreat by identifying where you lead, what you lead, who you lead, and why you lead. This half-day exercise enables leaders to take inventory of “where they find themselves” right now.

Day 2 – Wounds and Scars

      · The first full day invites leaders to name the wounds and scars of leadership. These reflection exercises help to bring healing and perspective to our difficult moments, troubling situations, disappointing relationships, and personal failures.

    Day 3 – Swapping Stories

    · The second full day invites participants to share stories of both success and disappointment with one another. It’s easy to puff up the big wins of our leadership and to hide the failures, but in sharing with others, we find that we’re not alone. There’s someone who can relate to the pressures of business leadership. Here, we create safe environments, develop friendships, and build lasting memories.

Day 4 – Practices of Becoming

      · Conclude the retreat by engaging in several healthy rhythms for life and leadership. Healthy leaders frequently employ various habits and activities that will enable them to lead with character, lead with confidence, and lead with clarity.

  • Personal toiletries; warm clothes, hiking boots, chapstick, water bottle, notebook/journal

Christian Mindfulness Retreat

Christian Mindfulness Retreat

Have you found yourself to be constantly busy? Are you feeling stressed out, full of worry, consumed by anxiety, and maintaining a pace that is “always on?”

Our Christian Mindfulness retreats focus on spiritual practices and activities that allow participants to become more aware of God’s presence. Light teaching in the morning helps to cultivate understanding of daily practices such as Scripture meditation, silence, solitude, personal prayer, journaling, and reflection. These practices will bring greater awareness of God’s presence in, with, through, and around you.

Romans 12:1 encourages Christ followers, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” It’s easy to fall into worldly patterns that keep us enslaved to negative thoughts and self-centered perspectives. This retreat will help you encounter God in fresh ways that renew your thoughts and refocus your attention to all the ways God is active and alive.

Price: $3500 per person (includes a $500 non-refundable deposit to rsvp)

Stay includes:

  • 4 days and 3 nights stay in your own private cabin

  • Introduction to ranch animals

  • Self-guided walking/hiking trails

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Retreat Format = 4-days / 3-nights

    Day 1 - Slowing

    · Begin the retreat by slowing down your mind, body, and soul. Releasing the grip we have on a fast-paced, “always on” life brings us to an openness to the presence of God.

    Day 2 – Resting

    · The first full day invites participants to rest. Take a nap, sit in nature, lose yourself in a good book, stroll through the mountainous landscape, or curl up by the fire. Rest in God’s presence and encounter His grace.

    Day 3 – Finding Peace

    · The second full day invites participants to draw near to God’s peace. We open ourselves to the work He desires to do by bringing peace to the areas that rage war in us. We seek Him, first, to be renewed by His peace.

    Day 4 – Encountering

    · Conclude the retreat by reviewing your retreat encounters with God through reflection and creating a plan to experience His presence each day upon your return home. Together, we will worship and celebrate the incredible grace of God.

  • Not at all! Everyone, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey, is welcome.

  • Personal toiletries; warm clothes, hiking boots, chapstick, water bottle, notebook/journal, bible

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • There is no “typical” day! Each guest has their own unique needs and individual interests. Some of us inherently know how to spend restful time alone, but others may need help in determining the best way to approach their days, which is where your time with a coach will be helpful. Spend time reading, journaling, walking/hiking, meditating, enjoying nature and the ranch animals, or engaging in creative/artistic expression. Our need for rest is more apparent when we slow down, so don’t hesitate to indulge in a nap or two.

  • Silence is a discipline that requires you to listen. The quiet helps you listen to words within yourself that you normally can’t hear over the constant noise that surrounds everyday life. If you are a person of faith, it provides an opportunity to fully focus on God’s voice and leading. Honor your time by setting aside your cell phone, emails, and unnecessary technology. Our ranch staff will respect your quiet time, but are certainly willing to chat if you find the lack of interaction overwhelming.

  • Not at all! Everyone, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey, is welcome.

  • How would you like to spend your time? You may want to bring a journal, Bible, books, reflective music, hiking boots, yoga mat, camera, needle craft or favorite art materials. We offer a limited selection of books and puzzles you may borrow during your stay. Free wifi is available, but we highly recommend leaving behind unnecessary technology. We supply bed linens and towels; you’ll want to pack personal toiletries.
